1. 50% of total rent is due at the time of booking.
2. Payment can be made by Visa, Master Card, American Express or by direct bank transfer.
3. Balance is due at time of arrival. Cash or euro traveler’s checks are preferred, but credit cards are also accepted (there may be a fee involved to cover c.c. commission)
4. A security deposit may be required for damages, loss of apartment keys and cost for extra cleaning in case more cleaning is necessary than may be expected after responsible usage of the apartment. The deposit may be asked in cash, or by signing a contract authorizing to charge your credit card in case of damage or extra-ordinary cleaning.
5. All apartments are in quiet neighborhoods, in residential buildings, guests are asked to respect the property and the neighbours. Loud/late partying is not permitted.
6. Inviting a couple of friends over during your stay is acceptable (not as overnight guests, however). Throwing a party, or hosting an event in the apartment is strictly prohibited unless specifically agreed upon, in advance, by the Pied a Terre Properties.
7. Minimum stay is 1 week (BR-1 and HN592 *: 1 month. *See Terms and Conditions for Monthly Rentals)
8. Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the apartments. If you smoke in the outside areas belonging to the apartment, all traces must be cleaned up and disposed of.
There will be a E 250 fine if traces of smoking are found in the apartment or the outside areas.
Loss of apartments keys: €50.-

Included in the price are:
- 6% VAT
- towels and bed linen
- internet usage  (ADSL internet is available in all apartments)
- weekly cleaning. If you stay more than 1 week, but less than 2 weeks, one cleaning in the middle of your stay.
- utilities (water, gas and electricity).
- all amenities in the apartment as mentioned on the website.

Excluded from the price are:
- 5% Tourist Tax (will be added to the balance and due upon arrival)
- A fixed-line telephone is available in all apartments.  Please let us know if you would like it connected.
- €15 fee for connecting the phone line.
- actual phone usage
- extra cleaning during your stay (€50.-per)
- taxi transportation

Checking in and out

Please remember that we are not a hotel. Someone has to meet you at the apartment, give you keys and take the keys back when you leave. Our standard check in time around 15.00 (3:00 pm) and check out time is 10:30. If the apartment is not occupied the night previous to your arrival, or the day of your departure, an exception to the check in may be made.


Parties wishing to check in before 10:00 am or after 10:00 pm (during the winter months, after 9:00 pm) will incur an additional charge of €40.-(payable in cash when you arrive).

If you would like to be certain that you can check in early or check out late, booking an extra night is advisable.

 Cancellation policy

- 50% of deposit* will be refunded if cancellation is made 30 days or more before arrival date.
- No refund of deposit if cancellation is made within 30 days of arrival.
- Full payment of booking is due if cancelled within 48 hours of the beginning of your stay or no show.

*In cases of credit card refunds, the initial credit card transaction charge on the deposit of 5% plus the refund transaction charge of 5% will be deducted from the refund to cover the cr.cd. charges incurred by Pied a Terre Properties

Please understand that most cases of cancellation are made due to personal or family emergencies. Although we are very sympathetic, the policy does apply to all in-coming guests. Please do not ask to be exempted from this cancellation policy.

Partial cancellation:
If you shorten your stay after booking, the cancellation policy only applies to the nights you have deducted from your original booking.

In the case of cancellation, the 5%fee we paid to the credit card company when we took your deposit AND the 5%we are again charged by the credit card co. to refund your deposit, will be taken out of your refund total.

 

We advise you take out cancellation insurance, if you think you may have to cancel your trip.
